Ecos
This work was made in Portugal, in the city of Borba, Alentejo, continuing the observation process of the surroundings.
Alentejo is a rich area and an important producer of marble in Portugal.
I stayed there for two months, observing day by day the extraction and industrialization process of marble, which is the material that I used for my work, and also its landscape and its routine.
I recorded the industrialization process of marble through a set of pictures, from the extraction in the stone pit to the scraps, in a bucolic and very bright landscape also showing the usual flocks of sheep. The record proceeded during a total of 15 days, daily and always at the same time.
In parallel, the sounds of the marble cutting and carving processes were recorded, as well as the ambient noises and the jingle of the sheep bells.
he sum of the recorded sounds is mixed in the ECHOES installation.

In_Out
This installation is an invitation to come inside. I projected a cylinder cut in half and dislocated the two parts, creating a circulation between them.
Each part measures 2.40 m in height and 5.55 m in length, and are built in iron and wood.
For the finishing of Inside I chose materials of Irish origin, willow and wool. I covered the internal walls with these materials that give a sensation of intimacy, warmth and comfort protecting us, making the room cozy and giving a pleasant sensation to the touch.
Inside / Outside
A set of twenty pictures, each measuring 30x20cm, taken inside the house through the window captured the outside movement.
At the same time I recorded the sounds of the same street.
A headphone plugged in a CD player will produce the sound of the street. The pictures and the sound are introduced together creating a comparison between the Inside / Outside.

Onde está você?
This is an installation where the individuals are placed in the center, establishing a dialogue with themselves, questioning the permanent search of the human being to find another. The more individualistic society becomes, the more we need the “other”.
The other I am looking for, is it the other inside of me, or is it myself inside the “other”?
Thus the dialogue with “myself” is established.
The photos represent the other that we search for frantically, no matter what age, social level, sex or race.
The fragmented mirror represents ourselves, divided into several pieces, meaning our fragility in front of this dialogue.
The projection shows the walking, search, haste, individualism, collective solitude, the alive being, anonymity, movement and hope...

This work is part of the project “Da Nascente à Foz”, developed on the theme water.
This project deals with many questions, such as; accumulation, excess, movement, masses of people, waste, tolerance, limit and scarcity.
The image presented is the Piracicaba river, allowing us to feel its power, volume and vastness during 2 minutes.
This video is shown as part of the video-installation, where mirrors, electric cables and lamps were used.

I get discarded materials, select them carefully and I prepair to become new work, giving support to objects, installation, video and site specific.
My proposal for this work is a serie of photographs taken inside an abandoned old building consumed by time, but present in it the marks left by who walked there.
Living this universe I registered through pictures its walls and floors.
In a total of 40 photography I interfered in one of the Museum (Gallery) wall creating a double wall, expanding on the floor with 7 of this pictures.
He pictures from the wall will be placed on the wall and the pictures from the floor will be placed on the floor.
